  Good Health and Embracing Change Mississauga, Ontario It was painless. I didn't get sweaty hands nor a headache. I didn't hear the sound of the starting gun, nor saw a green light. I don't know why they always say that "life begins at forty"? Unless you are Hugh Jackman who did a splendid hosting debut at the most recent Oscars or Judd Apatow, whose break came via movies like "Superbad" and "Juno", then you know how it feels to still be on top of your game despite... And don't tell J-Lo, Gwen Stefani, Jennifer Aniston, Halle Berry and Catherine Zeta Jones about not looking their best at this stage in their lives, being a mom makes you more beautiful. Wait, Jennifer looks great but she ain't a mom yet. Maybe soon. But that's beside the point. My point being that at 40, you can start afresh. You can start a new life in hosting or making entertaining movies, or rearing a child. One of which I hope to do at this stage of my life. **************** Celebrities Who Are Forty and above o Ellen Pompeo (40, this year)- "Grey's Anatomy" o Matthew Fox (42) - "Lost" o John Cusack (41) and Jack Black (40) - from my favorite movie "High Fidelity" o Jennifer Aniston (40), Courteney Cox Arquette (43), Lisa Kudrow (45), Matt LeBlanc (41), Matthew Perry (41), David Schwimmer (42) - "Friends" - who'd know Phoebe being the eldest :) o Sean Combs (40, this year) o Sarah McLachlan (41), don't you know I have all of her CDs? o Cate Blanchett (40, this year) - "Lord of the Rings" trilogy as the elf queen o Malcom Gladwell (45) author of "The Tipping Point", "Blink" and "Outliers" o The whole band of U2 and Depeche Mode (all band members are 47 yrs old) - and still making great music together! So there I just gave away my taste in TV, books, movies and music. All within the same age as I am... Yes, even my taste is old :) *********** How did we celebrate my birthday? You received the email right? No? Then you are not yet a 40-year old friend of mine yet. You are in the younger set of my friends :)) Enjoy life! To those who celebrated with me with ice cream, pasta, spaghetti, barbecue and cake - thank you! Thank you!
