Gotcha at Niagara-on-the-Lake
Tempted to Go Out at the Orchard
Halton Hills and Niagara-on-the-Lake
Today, you bid us goodbye.
It was such a great time to have the glorious sun waking us up, you staying for more than half of a day beating on us til we have a good sweat.
Your stay for 3-months was like an endless stroll with hands interlocked and joined together with your lovedone.
We thank you for the great memories, for the long afternoons, the ice-cold drinks, the sleeveless shirts and tanlines, and most of all time spent with those close to our hearts...
indeed you are the season we love the most!
Thank you Summer - thank you!
We spent the last day of Summer frolicking in the sun. We decided to visit an apple orchard and animal farm for the last weekend with Mom. A leisurely-drive from Mississauga to Brampton, to have our cousin join us, and a short drive to Chudleigh's Apple Farm allowed us to have some time enjoying each other's company while enjoying all-you-can-eat apples!
After a half-four picking and our own experience from 2 years ago, this time we knew better to just apple-pick what we can eat and bake. :)

An old custom prohibits the wearing of white after Labour Day. The explanations for this tradition range from the fact that white clothes are worse protection against cold weather in the winter to the fact that the rule was intended as a status symbol for new members of the middle class in the late 19th century and early 20th century(Wikipedia)
This old tradition is also followed in the US,
In actuality, the etiquette originally stated that white shoes were the taboo while white or "winter white" clothes were acceptable. This custom is fading from popularity as it continues to be questioned and challenged, particularly by leaders in the fashion world.
