We're Missing Someone in the Pic :( Someone Mispelled Zia's Name While She Poses Her New Clothes Zia Riding her "dead horse" :) First 4 Days of the Trip, Last 4 Days of May Manila, Philippines Been here for 96 hrs now. The breakdown of which may be: o 24 hrs of sleep - surprisingly adjusted well and I sleep at normal hours compared to last trip o 24 hrs of work - this has been very fulfilling o 12 hrs of eating - this too - has been filling o 10 hrs of commute to office and back - 2.5 hrs a day to and from ain't that bad o 6 hrs of TV - the Lakers baby! the Lakers! - well, when they're trailing I turn off the TV thinking ako ang malas o 6 hrs spent with officemates - I need some human interaction too, right? :) o 4 hrs of blogging - how could i forget o and of course - 10 hrs with the family!!! among them the 10 hrs are precious. Wish I could spend more with time in Cebu and later this weekend in Paranaque. Woohoo! ********* It's the start of the weekend, the end of the month and a lot of great activities to do. Today might be movie day or may just be spent "malling". In fact, we already did that my first night in Manila. It's like the "Mall of Asia" is becoming a staple every visit. :) - well except the last time when I was too busy, this time I made sure I'd have at least an hour. It turns out we've been to MOA for 2 straight nights now :) ********* Weekends aren't as fun without my better half. Sana "Jumper" ako... so that I can bring Mitzi with me here and then bring her back in Mississauga just in time for her work day :P It's never as much fun without her.... ********** o National Spelling Bee abuzz with global flavor - spell globalization. Bet you didn't know I won the Spelling Contest in Grade School for 2 straight years? There was one day in 1978 (30 years ago!!!) that Linnor and I won in our respective Grade levels. o Lost Finale Pushes Up Daisies, Ratings- Spoilers alert - well the spoilers are for me...I forgot all about it last night. Should buy a Slingbox next time :) But I didn't forget to watch the Lakers win over the Spurs after trailing by 17 points. On to the remake of the 80s - Celtics go win now and prepare for battle! o Tonight, Madonna Decena sings in the "Britain's Got Talent". After Charlie Green bowed out last Wednesday from the semis, our hopes are for Madonna to do well and reach the Finals. I hope she doesn't sing a song that was composed by one of her dad's friends though. Sorry Charlie, that was a great performance but Piers and Amanda didn't get it.. Weird. UPDATE: She didn't make it to the Finals. I personally felt that Madonna didn't register well and didn't have the same Oommmph she had in the first phase and her story was RE-capitalized (with the flashing of her babies pics at the back), RE-used (flashed it 2x as well as in the end) so much that people really might think that she was begging for sympathy. I was hoping she'd reach the finals with her great talent. We all know that she represents what is great about Filipinos - determined and knows how to use their God-given talents to reach their goals. We all pray that she will do well from hereon and claims that she it will be a cinch to be reunited with her 2 kids. Just like Sharon in "Caregiver" - which the family saw yesterday :). << |
